Cycling is Life

Feeling much better today than I did yesterday, today being the final stage of this journey. We had to leave early, as our vacations have finished and my wife had to be back at work this morning, so the stage actually started in Sotillo de La Adrada. The day starts nice and easy, relatively flat, but comes to a short climb to Rozas de Puerto Real, which has some short stretches of 10% grade, before descending and then another 10% climb to Cadalso de los Vidrios. That is all the climbing there is for the day apart from some rolling hills. I entered Madrid through the park Casa del Campo and from there continued home on the bicycle path within the city, arriving with 127.86 kms in 4:33:53. I was extremely disappointed to find that there was no winner's podium, no crowds and most of all no trophy. Tomorrow, I will post the final totals for this trip before continuing with other excursions and other things.
Me he sentido mucho mejor hoy que ayer, la última etapa de este viaje. Hemos tenido que salir temprano porque las vacaciones se terminaban y mi mujer tenía que volver a trabajar esta mañana, así que la etapa comenzó en Sotillo de La Adrada. El día comienza bonito y fácil, relativamente plano, pero se transforma en una pequeña subida a las Rozas de Puerto Real, que tiene algunas pendientes del 10% antes de descender y entonces otra subida del 10% a Cadalso de los Vidrios. Estas han sido todas las subidas de hoy, además de algunas colinas. He entrado en Madrid a través de la Casa de Campo y desde allí he continuado a casa en el carril bici, llegando con 127.86 km en 4:33:53. Me encontrado terriblemente decepcionado porque no había ningún podium para el ganador, ni multitudes esperando y lo peor de todo, ningún trofeo. Mañana colgaré los totales del viaje antes de continuar con mas excursiones y otras cosas.
