My plan for today was to ride an out and back route which would have been about 105 kms., but the road between kilometers 25 and 40 was in such bad condition that I changed my plan and rode a circular route instead with less distance but I avoided going back over those 15 kilometers again. After you pass the town of Terzaga there is a short climb on a good road but as you crest the hill there is a sign warning of a change in the road surface. There is still asphalt remaining, but in many places it is gone and there are rocks showing through as well as many potholes. This section of the route is much better suited to a mountain bike.
Belvalle is the climb from 40 to 47 kilometers on this route and the most difficult with ramps of up to 15%.
