Cycling is Life

Today’s stage was a little surreal. As it was not a stage from any Vuelta a España, there was no profile, but this wasn’t the biggest problem, which was to stay on the route. The Gallegos that I asked either gave me bad directions or told me that I was lost, but they couldn’t tell me how to get to the next town on the route. To begin with, because of the lack of signs and the erroneous directions of two people, I rode a 20 km detour to get onto the correct highway. As I went on, it became increasingly more difficult to follow the route because of the lack of signs and the people who sent me in the wrong direction. In the end, my wife picked me up, because it could have taken me all day to arrive at the final destination. Total kms 125.98 in 5:06:03. I hope tomorrow will be better.
La etapa de hoy ha sido un poco surrealista. Como no pertenece a ninguna Vuelta a España no conocía el perfil, pero ese no ha sido el mayor problema, el mayor problema ha sido encontrar el camino. Los gallegos a los que he preguntado o me han dado las indicaciones erróneas o me decían que estaba perdido pero no sabían indicarme cómo llegar a los pueblos de mi recorrido. Para empezar debido a las indicaciones erróneas de dos lugareños he hecho 20 km más hasta llegar al camino correcto. Después se ha complicado cada vez mas seguir el camino por la falta de señales y de colaboración del personal. Al final mi mujer ha tenido que recogerme en un camino ante la imposibilidad de llegar a mi destino en el tiempo previsto. 125.98 kms en total con un tiempo de 5:06:03. Espero que mañana será mejor.
